It’s tough out there for us gingers.

I think Little Orphan Annie (unofficial ginger spokesperson, as decided by yours truly) said it best: “It’s a hard knock life.” Now sure, I know what you’re thinking: “But Annie had a hard life because she was an ORPHAN, not a ginger…”

…Ever stop to wonder WHY Annie was an orphan? Because ginger kids get no love. Her parents took one look at that curly ball of flames sprouting from her infant scalp and dumped her on a doorstep. It’s true, look it up (…no, don’t).

Fact is, gingers get a bad rap. Red (more like orange, let’s be honest) hair, pale skin, plagues of freckles…NOBODY UNDERSTAND US. So is it so hard to understand that we have, on average, more anger than most (normal) people?

This blog is just the tip of the iceberg.

  1. A topic I too am enthralled by. I collected a bunch of pet peeves via email and then shot a short film because the answers I got were so funny and specific, and you’re right, trivial. But that’s what makes them so fascinating! What bugs me to no end [people who say “It’s in God’s hands”] is nothing to you, and vice versa.

I blog a lot about pet peeves, http://macncheeseproductions.wordpress.com/2009/09/08/pet-peeves/ is my first post. You can find the rest under the “pet peeve” category if you’re interested. Keep blogging, I’ll be following!

Just found ur site, accidentally…glad i did.

Especially go nuts with #4 and #5 peeves.

    Great site. 🙂

I have some pet peeve ideas I’d like to share. You can publish any of them: white lint on a black shirt, awkward silences, someone flaking on you, slow internet/computer, and using a public restroom after someone didn’t flush.

  4. This is a wonderful post and may be one that is followed up to see what happens

A close friend emailed this link the other day and I will be desperately looking your next piece of writing. Carry on on the incredible work.

Another pet peeve you should publish is how irritating it is when people take long to respond to a text or on aim. Or give one word answers to a conversation.
